The shop is called Steel Tubes, and we are located in the Bamangachi area of Tikiapara. Being in Howrah, it’s always a bit noisy and crowded, but that’s just how it is here. We have been in this spot for a long time now. It’s a basic place where we handle steel materials. If you walk around Tikiapara, you’ll find us easily enough. We don't have a lot of workers, just a few of us who know the materials well. We spend our mornings unloading trucks and the afternoons getting things ready for customers. It's dusty work, and your hands are always dirty by the end of the day. There’s no air conditioning or anything like that, just the open door and the sounds from the street. We get all sorts of people coming in, from small builders to guys just looking for a piece of pipe for a home fix. We try to keep a range of stock so we don't have to turn anyone away. Sometimes the rains in Howrah make things difficult, especially when the roads get muddy, but we manage to stay open. It’s a local business, through and through. We know most of the people who work in the nearby shops too. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around, just a reliable spot where you can get your steel tubes without any fuss. That's pretty much our life here every day, dealing with metal and helping neighbors get their supplies.
