Seacom B.Ed College

We are out in Dhulagori, which is part of the Sankrail area in Howrah. It’s a bit of an industrial zone, so you’ll see a lot of trucks and warehouses around the Jala Dhulagori area. Our B.Ed college is a bit of a quiet spot amidst all that activity. We have students coming in from different parts of Howrah and even Kolkata to do their teacher training. The campus is a simple building with several classrooms and a small area for the students to gather. It’s a very practical place. Since it’s a B.Ed course, the students are adults who are quite focused on finishing their degrees. We spend a lot of time organizing their teaching placements and making sure all the records are in order for the university. The office staff is always busy with some form or another. The weather here can be quite wet during the monsoon, and the roads sometimes get a bit muddy, but we all just get on with it. We have a small canteen where you can get a cup of tea and a biscuit, which is where people congregate between lectures. It’s not a fancy campus with manicured lawns, but it’s a functional place where people come to get their work done. We’ve been operating here for several years now, and we’re just part of the local landscape in Dhulagori, doing what needs to be done.
