S. P. Steel Traders

Down here on Girish Ghosh Road, things are always moving. We are located at 135/37/A/1 in the Belurmath area, which is a pretty crowded part of town. S. P. Steel Traders is basically a warehouse and a small front desk where we talk to builders and local contractors. Steel is heavy and messy, so the floors are usually scratched up and there’s always a bit of iron dust in the air. We’ve got different types of rods and sheets stacked up. It’s a lot of manual work, loading the trucks and making sure the counts are right. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s mostly just us and a few helpers getting the orders ready. Belurmath is a place with a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of the local scenery now. The traffic on the road can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we try to get most of our heavy deliveries done early in the morning. We’ve had the same neighbors for a long time, and we all kind of look out for each other. It’s not a glamorous job, dealing with raw metal and heavy machinery, but it’s what we know. We just focus on keeping the stock ready and making sure the measurements are what the customer asked for.
