S. K. Steel

S. K. Steel is located down at 24/7, Natabar Paul Road. We've been at this spot for a good while now, mostly dealing with different kinds of steel and metal pieces. It's a busy street, so there is always noise from the traffic outside, but inside we just focus on getting the work done. People come by looking for specific cuts or just general materials for their own projects. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cluttered with offcuts and inventory, but that's just how it goes when you’re working with heavy metal all day long. We try to keep things organized enough so we can find what a customer needs without too much searching. It isn’t a fancy showroom or anything like that. Just a plain workspace where we handle the orders that come in. Most of the guys here have been working with steel for years, so they know the difference between the grades and what works for what job. If someone asks a question, we tell them what we know based on what we've seen on the floor. It is mostly about manual labor and making sure the measurements are right before anything leaves the building. We don't spend much time on the computer unless it’s for some basic billing or checking stock levels. The floor is usually covered in some dust, and the machines have their own quirks that we’ve gotten used to over time. It’s just a regular local business trying to stay busy and helpful for anyone who needs steel. We've seen the neighborhood change, but our daily routine stays pretty much the same.
