This unit is over in Howrah, specifically at 3/8 Bipin Krishna Ku Street. Being near Belurmath means the area has a certain feel to it. We have the ISO 9001 thing on our papers, which basically means we have to follow a lot of specific steps for everything we do here. It is a lot of writing and checking boxes, but it keeps the factory running okay. The air in Howrah is always heavy with smoke and the sound of machines from the other shops nearby. Our shed is usually full of steel parts and people moving things around with the overhead crane. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. By noon, the place is like an oven, so we take our breaks when we can. The walk from the main road to the gate is a bit narrow. We have been in West Bengal for a long time and know how the local transport works. Most of the guys here have been working with us for years. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. Just a desk, some chairs, and the sound of metal hitting metal. It is hard work but it is what we know. We just focus on the production and getting the batches out to the trucks on time so the drivers can get on their way before the traffic gets bad.
