R.K. Steel & Co.

R.K. Steel & Co. is situated at No- 69/1/B on Girish Ghosh Road. We are right in the Belur Math area, which is a place with a lot of history and old buildings. Our setup is pretty simple. We deal in steel and have been doing it for quite a while. The road outside can get quite dusty and noisy with all the traffic going towards the temple area, but we are used to it by now. We spend most of our time moving heavy metal around and talking to contractors who need specific sizes of steel for their work. It is not the kind of job where you stay clean, but it is honest work. The building we are in has seen better days, but it serves its purpose for storing what we need. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and talk to whoever is available at the counter. Most of our customers are locals from around Belur or people who have been told about us by their friends. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because the steel is what matters. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult because the road gets muddy, but we keep the shop open. It’s a small operation, just a handful of us making sure things get delivered. We’ve been at 69/1/B long enough that the postman doesn’t even have to look at the number anymore.
