Maha Laxmi Iron Stores

If you’ve ever been down Belilious Road in Howrah, you know it’s a maze of shops and small workshops. We are at number 129, specifically in Room No. 31. It’s a small space, but we’ve managed to fit a lot into it over the years. Maha Laxmi Iron Stores is basically just a room full of iron and a couple of us trying to keep it all organized. The district is always loud with the sound of hammers and machinery, and our street is no different. It’s a bit of a trek to get here sometimes because of the congestion, but that’s just Howrah for you. We don’t have much room for fancy displays, so we just stack things where they fit. We’ve been in this specific room for quite some time now. Most of our regulars are local workers who know exactly what they need, so we don't have to do much talking. We just pull the stock, settle the bill, and move on to the next task. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and the air is usually thick with the smell of metal. By the time we head home, we’re tired, but it’s a good kind of tired. We don't have any big plans to move or change things up. We like it here on Belilious Road, right in the middle of all the action. It’s where the real work happens every single day of the week. We just keep our heads down and get it done.
