Ma Lakhi Iron Stores is located at 129 Belilious Road. If you know this area, you know how crowded and narrow the streets can get. It is always a bit of a struggle to get the big trucks in and out, but we manage somehow. The shop itself is full of iron and heavy materials stacked up everywhere. It’s dusty work and your hands are always dirty by the end of the day. We have been here for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit. The walls have seen better days, and the floor is worn down from all the heavy lifting. There is no air conditioning, so we just use some old ceiling fans that rattle a lot. When it’s monsoon season, the street outside sometimes floods a little, and we have to be careful about the stock. Most of the people working here have been around for a decade or more. We know the regular customers by their first names. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a mall. It’s a real, old-fashioned iron store. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and loading things onto carts. It’s noisy because of all the metal clanging together, but you get used to it after a while.
