L. J. Jewellers

So, L. J. Jewellers is right here in Salap Bazar, which is usually a pretty busy spot in Domjur. If you’re looking for us, we’re just another shop on the row, nothing too fancy from the outside but we keep things tidy inside. We’ve been at this address for a while now, sitting behind the glass counters and dealing with whatever comes through the door. Usually, it’s people from around the neighborhood needing a chain fixed or looking for something small for a wedding. The lighting in here isn't the best, kind of a yellowish glow, but it works for seeing the small details on the rings. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, especially when it’s hot outside and we’ve got it on full blast. We don’t really have a big team or anything, just a few of us who know the regulars by name. It gets dusty because of the road work nearby, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the display cases. It’s a simple setup. We open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first person to stop by. There’s always someone popping in to ask for directions too, since we’re right in the thick of the market. We just do our thing here, day in and day out, making sure the gold is looked after and the ornaments are polished enough to show the shine. It’s not a glamorous life, but we like the people who come in.
