Being right on 286/2, Gt Road makes things pretty loud most of the time. We are right beside the petrol pump, so there’s always trucks and cars pulling in and out. Dayamayee Syndicate has been operating out of this spot for a while. It’s a convenient place for people to drop in. The office is small, and there’s always tea being made. We handle a bit of everything here. It’s more of a distribution or supply thing, depending on the day. The traffic on Gt Road is a constant sound in the background while we work. It’s not a quiet job. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to drivers who stop by. Sometimes the dust from the road gets everywhere, but you get used to it. We keep our records in big ledgers and on an old computer that takes its time. It’s a local operation. We know the neighbors and the guys at the pump next door. People come to Dayamayee Syndicate because we’re easy to find. We don't do big ads. Usually, someone just hears about us from someone else. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going and get through the list of things to do. Sometimes we run out of certain items and have to wait for the next truck, which makes the customers a bit frustrated, but we do our best to get it sorted. The rainy season makes things even slower with the mud on Gt Road. We just keep the door open and wait for the next person to walk in.
