Orchid

You can find Orchid right in the middle of Ghoshpara Bazar. It’s quite a busy market area in Bally. Being near the Nischinda post office and police station means there’s always something going on around us. The sounds of the bazar are constant throughout the day. We have been here for a while now. The shop isn't huge, but we make the most of the space we have. Things get a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives. We just stack things wherever they fit. It’s a local place. Most of the people who come in are from around Nischinda or the nearby streets. We know many of them by their names. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy carpets or air conditioning. We just have a few old fans going to keep the air moving. During the monsoon, the streets around the bazar get a bit muddy and messy, but business keeps going anyway. We open up early and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. It’s a lot of standing and moving things around. Bally is a good place for a shop like this. Everyone knows where Ghoshpara Bazar is. We don’t really bother with big marketing plans or anything like that. We just focus on the work right in front of us. It’s a simple life, really. We’ve got some good friends among the other sellers. We just do our bit and go home.
