Gita Steel Furniture

Out here in Andul near the Mouri Panchanantala area you can find us at Gita Steel Furniture. It is a place where you can usually hear the sound of metal clanging or the screech of a saw cutting through a pipe. We spend our days working with steel and it is hard on the hands and the back but we are used to it by now. The air in Mouri Panchanantala is often filled with the smell of welding and the dust from the road nearby. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning or soft music playing in the background. It is just a workspace where we put things together and hope they last a long time for the people who buy them. Most of our neighbors in Andul are working people too so they understand what it’s like to have a bit of dirt under your fingernails. We don't use any big words to describe what we do because we are just making furniture out of steel. Sometimes we have to move big heavy frames and it takes three of us just to get it onto the back of a rickshaw. It’s a simple business and we don't have any plans to change that anytime soon. We just want to keep working here in our little corner of the world without any fuss or trouble and make things that people can actually use.
