Dasgupta Steel & Testing House

Dasgupta Steel & Testing House is located at 12, Guha Road, Ghusuri. Our place is right in the middle of an industrial area, so we fit in well with the surroundings. The testing house has been around for some time. We have various machines for checking the strength and quality of different steel samples. It is a very hands-on type of job. You spend most of your time on your feet moving from one machine to another. The lab isn't a sterile white room like you might see in a movie. It is a real working space with heavy tools and metal samples lying around on the benches. We have a small office area tucked away where we write up the reports. The windows are usually kept open to let some air circulate, even if it brings in some of the dust from Guha Road. We have a regular group of guys who have worked here for years. We know the machines and all their little quirks. Sometimes a test takes longer than we expected, and we have to stay late to finish the paperwork. It is quiet work in its own way, just measuring and recording data. We do not do much advertising at all. People in the industry know we are here in Ghusuri. We just keep the equipment calibrated and do the tests properly day after day.
