Chhaparia Steel

Our place is located over at 14/24, Dr. H.K. Chatterjee Lane. If you know the Victoria Steel Market in Ghusuri, then you know exactly how it is around here. It’s a busy spot where the air always feels heavy with the smell of metal and the sound of trucks backing up. We’ve been operating Chhaparia Steel out of this location for a while now. The office isn't anything fancy, just a desk, some chairs, and stacks of papers that seem to grow every week. Most days start early before the sun really gets hot. We spend a lot of time talking to people who come in looking for specific steel items. Sometimes the lane gets so crowded with carts and loaders that you can hardly walk through. We just try to keep things organized so we can find what’s needed without too much fuss. There is a small tea stall just a few doors down where we usually grab a cup in the afternoon when things quiet down a bit. It’s just how it goes here in the market. The walls inside could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but nobody really has the time to stop and do it. We are mostly focused on the daily grind of moving stock and making sure the counts are right. It’s honest work and it keeps us occupied from morning until we lock up the shutters at night.
