Bengal Metal Tools

Our place is over at 114 Benaras Road in Salkia. Howrah is always a busy place to be, and this street is no different. It’s loud and there’s always something moving outside. We’ve been here at this address for a while now, dealing with all kinds of metal tools. The shop floor is usually covered in a bit of dust, which is just how it goes when you’re working with this kind of stuff. We have boxes stacked up toward the back and tools laid out where we can find them easily. It isn't a showroom; it's a working space where things get done. You can hear the sounds of the neighboring shops too, everyone just getting on with their business. West Bengal gets quite hot in the summer, so we have the fans going all day long to keep the air moving. Most of the guys here have been around for years and they know exactly where everything is kept. We don’t really do much in the way of fancy displays. We just make sure the stock is right and the orders are ready for whoever needs them. People from the local area stop in quite a bit. There’s a tea shop not far away that we frequent. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation here on Benaras Road. We keep the doors open and just work through whatever comes our way.
