Amit Kumar & Co

We’ve been operating out of 122 J N Mukherjee Road in Ghusuri for quite a few years now. The shop is right there on the busy road, and you can’t miss the dust coming off the passing trucks every few minutes. Amit started this whole thing a long time ago and we just kept it going day by day. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning in every corner or leather chairs for guests. We have some old wooden desks and a few metal filing cabinets that have seen better days. Most of our time is spent on the phone or writing down orders in our paper ledgers. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to get around to it. We drink a lot of tea from the stall across the street. The neighborhood is loud and crowded, but it feels right for the kind of work we do here. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how things work. We handle the paperwork and make sure the customers get what they asked for. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we are busy, but we always sort it out in the end. It’s a simple way to make a living. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do our job at 122 J N Mukherjee Road and go home to our families at night.
