Our office is located at 5/3 Dasarath Ghosh Lane, right in the Bamungachi area of Salkia. If you know Howrah at all, you know these narrow lanes can get pretty crowded at almost any time of day. It is an old part of town and we have been part of the landscape here for a good bit of time now. Raj Agarwal & Assosiate isn't some glass tower business with a lobby. We work out of a regular building where all the neighbors know each other by name. Most of our days are spent sitting at our old desks handling whatever paperwork comes in. It can get very noisy outside with the rickshaws and people walking by to the local market. We do not have any fancy neon signs or big billboards to show off. People usually find us because they live nearby or someone they know told them where we are located. The walk from the main road down the lane takes a few minutes if the path is clear. West Bengal summers are tough, so the ceiling fans are always going in the office to keep the air moving. We drink a lot of tea while we work through the afternoon. It is just a small group of us here trying to keep things organized. We are not trying to be the biggest firm in India, just doing our part in this corner of Howrah. Sometimes the power goes out, but we carry on.
