We have desks piled with files and the phone rings pretty often with inquiries from other traders or local clients. People are constantly walking by outside, and the sounds of the market definitely drift in through the windows. We don’t have any big flashy signs or corporate branding. It’s just Jaiswal & Co. written on the door. Most of our work involves coordinating between suppliers and buyers, keeping track of orders, and making sure the accounts are settled. The stairs up to the office are a bit narrow, so carrying heavy items can be a bit of a chore. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and the neighbors on Ban Behari Basu Road are like family now. We just come in, do our jobs, and go home when the market starts to wind down.
