It’s an old lane with a lot of character. Howrah is always bustling, and Sri Mani Bagan Lane is no exception to that. We’ve been based here for a long time. The office is a simple one. We have desks, some old filing cabinets, and the usual things you’d expect to see in a working space. It’s not a fancy corporate environment. We don’t have a lobby or a receptionist greeting people. Usually, one of us just looks up from our desk when someone walks in. The building itself has seen better days, but it holds up well enough for our needs. We like the 2nd floor because it’s a little further away from the noise of the street, though you can still hear the horns honking occasionally. It’s a very human place to work. We have our tea breaks and we talk about the news. There’s no script for how we talk to people. We just say what needs to be said. If you’re looking for 1/1/1, you might have to keep your eyes peeled as the lane is a bit narrow. We’ve stayed here because it’s what we know. It’s just a regular local business doing its thing.
