Shri Satguru Agromills Private Limited is tucked away in Pipariya, right in the Sardar Ward area. You’ll find us at Amrit Kaur Malhotra’s place. It’s a noisy environment most of the time because the milling work never really stops. We deal with a lot of grain coming in from the Hoshangabad side, and there is always dust in the air. We didn't plan on being some huge corporation; we just needed a way to process what was coming out of the fields nearby. My hands are usually stained with something or other from the machinery. The mill has its quirks, like that one motor that acts up when it gets too humid, but we know how to fix it by now. People from around the neighborhood stop by, sometimes just to see if we’re hiring or to bring a small load of their own. It’s hot in there during the summer, but we’ve got a couple of fans that help a bit. We keep the books in a small room in the back where it’s slightly quieter. It’s not the most organized place in the world, with bags stacked up near the doors, but we know where everything is. Running a mill in Pipariya is just about keeping the wheels turning and making sure the grain stays dry. We’ve been at this for a while now, and the routine hasn't changed much over the years. We just show up and do the work.
