Masinan Farmer Producer Company Limited

The Masinan Farmer Producer Company Limited is based right in Masinan village, near Saidpur. We are in the Pursurah block of Hooghly district. If you know this area, you know it’s a lot of green fields and hardworking people. We started this because we wanted to have a bit more control over how our produce gets handled. It’s a group of us who live and work right here. We aren't a big company from the city; we are just your neighbors. Most of our meetings happen near the fields or at someone’s house in the village. We talk about things like the price of fertilizer and when the right time to plant is. Hooghly is a great place for farming, but it still takes a lot of sweat to get anything to grow well. We don't have any polished brochures or fancy mission statements. We just have our land and our hands. Sometimes things go wrong, like a machine breaking down when you need it most, and we have to scramble to fix it. That’s just part of the deal. We keep it simple and focus on the day-to-day work. It’s a way for us to stick together and make sure the farming life stays viable for everyone in Masinan. We’re just regular people trying to do a good job with what we have in our own backyard.
