Pandua Krishi Biplab Agro Producer Company Limited

We are set up in Thaipara village, right on the ground floor of Abdul Nasim Mandal’s building. If you know the area near Pandua in Hooghly, you probably know how things go around here. We are officially called Pandua Krishi Biplab Agro Producer Company Limited, which is a bit of a long name for what we do. Mostly, we just focus on the farming work around Sari post office. The office is easy enough to find once you get into the village. It isn’t a fancy place with big signs or glass doors. It’s just a regular room where we handle the paperwork for the crops and talk to the other growers. Some days it gets quite dusty when the tractors go by on the main road, but that is part of being in an agricultural spot. We spend a lot of time dealing with the local soil and what needs to be planted next. There are a few of us who hang around the office most mornings. You can hear the sounds of the village all day long while we work on the agro producer stuff. It’s a quiet life in this part of West Bengal, and we just keep things moving along as they should. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just wait it out. It’s not like the city where everything is in a rush. We take our time to make sure the records are right for the Thaipara collective. Anyway, that is pretty much what happens at our place on the ground floor.
