Rotary Sunrise School is situated in Krishnaraja Pura, often just called KR Puram, in Hassan. The school is tucked away in a residential part of the town, making it a convenient spot for the local families. The building itself is a multi-story structure with different floors for the various age groups. It’s a pretty standard setup for a school in this area. We have a small gate where the kids enter every morning, and there is usually a bit of a crowd of parents dropping them off. Inside, the rooms are filled with the usual school stuff—desks, cupboards for books, and maps on the walls. We don't have a lot of fancy technology, but we have enough for what we need to do. The staff works out of a common room where we keep our bags and have our lunch. It gets quite loud during the recess when all the students are out of their classes. We try to keep things orderly, but children will be children. The office handles the fees and the admissions, and it’s usually the busiest place in the building. We’ve been part of the Hassan community for a while now, and many people recognize our name. There is always something to fix, like a leaky tap or a broken window latch, but we keep on top of it. It’s just a regular, hard-working school for the neighborhood kids and we do our best for them.
