Nidaghatta Farmer Producer Company Limited is located right near Javagal Road. It's a busy enough spot with people traveling back and forth all day on their way to other towns. We started this because we saw that working as individuals was getting harder every year with the costs going up. Now we have this little setup where we can pool what we have and try to get a better handle on things. It is mostly practical stuff we deal with, like who has what equipment or when the best time to sell the crop might be. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the paperwork and keep things organized as best as we can. The building is simple and we keep it that way because we’d rather put our resources into the actual farming. You can hear the traffic from the road while we work, but you get used to it after a while. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We have our fair share of problems, like any other small business, but we just take them as they come and try to find a way through. No one here is looking for a shortcut. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields pays off at the end of the season. It’s about the community here and making sure we can all keep going forward.
