Gosiri Mahila Utpadakara Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is called Gosiri Mahila Utpadakara Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are based in Panna Samudra, a small village in the Belagumba area of Arsikere Taluk. Hassan is a beautiful part of the country, and we feel lucky to work here among the greenery. Since we are a Mahila company, it’s mostly women from the local villages running the show. We meet up in Panna Samudra to figure out our plans for the season. It’s a lot of juggling between our homes and the farm work, but we make it work somehow. The office is really just a meeting point where we keep our books and discuss what needs to be sold. It’s located in the Kasaba Hobli region, which is a fairly central spot for all of us to gather. We don't have a lot of money for fancy things, so we just use what we have. Most days involve a lot of walking and talking to different people in the village. We focus on producing what we can and helping each other out when things get tough. The weather in Hassan is usually better than in the north, but we still have our struggles with the rains. We aren't experts in business, but we know how to grow things and how to work hard. That's really all there is to it. We just keep going, day after day, making it work for our families.
