Ravi Tiles

Ravi Tiles is set up on Bhind Road in the Gird area. We are directly opposite the Yash Petrol Pump, so if you are getting gas, you can see our sign across the way. We have a lot of different tiles stacked up inside and some even outside under a tin roof. It’s mostly floor tiles and wall pieces for kitchens or bathrooms. The dust from the road is a real problem because it settles on the shiny surfaces and we have to keep wiping them down so people can see the patterns clearly. It’s a lot of bending and lifting because tiles are surprisingly heavy when they are in those cardboard boxes. We have a small showroom space that isn't very fancy, but it gets the job done for the people who come in. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoon, making it quite hot inside during the summer months. We usually have a fan going, but it mostly just moves the warm air around and doesn't do much. People come in with their measurements on scraps of paper and we try to figure out how many boxes they will need for their project. Sometimes we run out of a certain design and have to wait for the next truck to come down Bhind Road from the supplier. We don't do any installations ourselves, we just sell the materials to whoever needs them. It’s a simple setup and we’ve been at this location for a good while now.
