The Hangout Cafe

The Hangout Cafe is sitting right at Shop No-1 in Vivek Vihar. We are over in Sector 82, not too far from Krishna Vihar. It’s a small place, but we have a few tables where people can just sit for a bit. We started this because we wanted a spot in the neighborhood where you didn't have to feel rushed. It’s not a big corporate chain with matching uniforms. We just wear what’s comfortable and make the food and coffee how people like it. The walls have a few scuffs here and there from chairs being moved around, but it makes it feel more real. We get a lot of people coming in after work or students looking for a quiet corner to read. Sometimes the coffee machine acts up, but we know how to fix it now without calling anyone. It’s just how things are when you’re running a small cafe. We aren't trying to win awards. We just want to make sure the chairs are pulled out and the place is clean enough for everyone to feel okay. Vivek Vihar is a nice area, and being near Krishna Vihar means we see a lot of different people every day. We usually have some music playing, but nothing too loud. Our mugs don't all match because we've picked them up over the years. It’s just a regular shop for regular people. We stay open late most nights because that's when people usually want to come by.
