Working at Sr.F&B inside The Peach Tree in Gurgaon is basically a lot of running around. The building itself is pretty well known in the area, and we are right in the middle of all that Gurgaon energy. Most of our day is spent dealing with food and beverages, hence the name, but it is not nearly as glamorous as it might sound. It is mostly about checking inventory, making sure the kitchen has what it needs, and keeping the service area from becoming a total mess. The Peach Tree has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of that. When it’s busy, the noise from the kitchen and the chatter from the tables can get pretty loud. We don't have a big mission statement or anything; we just want to make sure the plates go out and the glasses stay full. Some days the humidity makes everything feel a bit sticky, and we all just look forward to the end of the shift. We are just a group of people who know how to handle a rush and how to keep a cool head when things get hectic. It is a practical job in a practical location. We've gotten used to the layout of the place and the regulars who come by. It’s just how life goes for us here in this corner of Gurgaon.
