Our office is situated out on National Highway No-8, right on the Delhi-Jaipur Road in the Khandsa area. Being near the highway means we see a lot of trucks and heavy traffic all day long. Samrat Middle East Exports Pvt. Ltd. is where we handle all the logistics for sending goods overseas. The building isn't much to look at, just a functional space with a lot of desks and maps on the walls. It gets quite dusty because of the road construction and the wind coming off the open areas nearby. The highway sounds are constant, like a background hum that never really stops. We've got used to it over the years, and it almost feels too quiet when we go home. We spend a lot of time on the phone with shipping companies and customs agents. It can be stressful when a shipment is delayed, but we just keep at it. There’s a small break room where we keep a kettle for coffee. We aren't a big corporation with shiny glass windows. We’re more of a hands-on operation where everyone chips in. The yard outside is often full of containers waiting to be moved. We have a few long-term employees who have been with us since we started here in Khandsa. It’s a hot and busy place, but the location is good for getting things out to the ports. We focus on the paperwork and making sure the crates are packed tight. It’s honest work and we stay busy.
