Hariyali Agro Farmers Producer Companylimited

We are based in Sarmathala, which is a village near Sohna. Sunil Kumar is the one who looks after the main operations here, and the company is run right from the village. In this part of Haryana, things are changing fast with all the construction in Sohna, but we are still focused on the Hariyali, the green fields. We formed this producer company to make sure the farmers in Sarmathala do not get left behind as the world around us gets more crowded. It is a group effort. We meet up in the village to talk about what we are going to plant and how we are going to get it to the market without losing money to the middlemen. It is not a polished operation with glass windows and computers. It is more like a village meeting that happens to have a company name on the paperwork. We use our local knowledge to help each other out. Sometimes we talk for hours about a single problem like water or a new type of seed. It is just honest work. We have grown up in these fields and we want to see them stay productive even as the city gets closer. We do not use big words or make big promises. We just try to keep the farming life going for as long as we can in Sarmathala.
