Our office is tucked away in DLF Phase-IV in Gurgaon. It’s a busy part of the city, but we deal with agro stuff every single day. Dofort Agro Producer Company Limited started because a few of us wanted to organize the supply better for everyone. Gurgaon is mostly malls and tall buildings now, but we still focus on the ground level and the farmers. We spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting people who bring in their produce. The room at 2520 is where everything happens. It’s usually messy with papers and samples scattered everywhere. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you walk in, someone will just look up from their desk and ask what you need. We talk about soil and transport costs while the heavy traffic hums outside the window. It’s a weird mix of city life and farming business. Sometimes the transit gets delayed because of the Gurgaon traffic jams, and we have to wait around for hours. We aren't some polished firm. We just know about plants and how to get them moved from one place to another. We've lived in Haryana our whole lives, so we know the land well. Some days are better than others. When the harvest comes in, it's absolutely chaotic. We just try to stay on top of the orders and make sure the accounts are right. It’s a small operation, just a few of us working hard.
