Working out of DLF Corporate Park in Phase III means we are in one of those tall glass buildings in the S Block. It’s a lot of elevators and security badges. We spend most of our time at our desks or in meetings talking about different drinks and snacks. It’s a huge operation, but on our specific floor, it is just the same group of people seeing each other every day. We drink a lot of tea while looking at spreadsheets and logistics plans. The office is in 3B. Sometimes the air conditioning is way too cold, and we have to keep sweaters at our desks even in the middle of a Gurgaon summer. We handle a lot of the planning for the whole country from this one spot. It is not a small shop, but we try to keep things grounded as much as we can. We talk about the big brands everyone knows, but for us, it is just our daily work. We have to make sure the bottling plants and the people who move the stock are all on the same page. It gets pretty stressful when there is a big deadline or a new product coming out. We usually eat lunch in the cafeteria or walk out to the nearby food stalls if the weather is okay. Qutab Enclave is always crowded, so just getting into the park takes a while. We’re just people trying to keep things moving.
