Udyog Vihar is a huge area, and being located in Phase-V means we are right in the middle of the Gurgaon industrial hub. Our building is number 557. It is a very standard-looking place for this part of the city, mostly just functional. The commute to get here is the hardest part of the day because the traffic on the main highway is always at a standstill. Once we are inside, the day is filled with emails and phone calls. We deal with all sorts of people, but the office itself feels very local and casual. We have a small corner where we keep the tea kettle and the microwave, and that is usually where we catch up with each other. We are not trying to be the biggest company out there. We just focus on Modern Overseas and the tasks that need to be finished before we go home. There are always piles of paper on the desks and samples sitting in the corners of the room. The air conditioning runs all day because the sun makes the building very hot. Most of the people here have stayed with us for years, so it feels more like a small group of friends than a corporate staff. We don't have any big speeches about our future. We just want to do the work well and get home to our families. It’s a busy life.
