Kutbapur Agro Smart Farmer Producer Company Limited

We work out of Anup Singh’s house, number 190, in the village of Kutbapura. It’s a small place in Narnaul, and the land here can be very unforgiving. Mahendragarh is known for being dry, so we have to be very careful with how we manage our farming. We put 'Smart' in our name because we are trying to find better ways to deal with the lack of water and the changing climate. But we are still just regular farmers. There are no fancy suits here, just people in work clothes. We don't have a big marketing budget or a mission statement. Our goal is just to get the harvest in and sold for a fair price. We gather at the house to talk about which seeds are working and how to fix the old machinery. It’s a group effort, and everyone puts in the work. The paperwork is a bit of a headache, but we manage it among ourselves. We don't have any formal training, just years of experience in the dirt. Life in Kutbapura is slow and predictable, which is fine by us. We aren't looking for fame or big profits. We just want to make sure our farms stay productive for our children. It’s a lot of long hours and hard labor, but it’s what we know. We are just a local group sticking together.
