Desi Origins Store

Our little shop at B-150 in Supermart 1 has been here for a while now. We keep things that remind people of home. It’s a bit cramped inside sometimes when the new stock comes in on Tuesdays. We try to keep the shelves organized, but with so many small items, it’s a constant job. People from around DLF Phase 4 usually stop by on their way back from work in the evenings. We get a lot of regulars who just want their usual items and a quick chat. It isn't a fancy place, just a regular neighborhood store. The lighting could be better, but we know most of the people who walk through the door. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the front entrance for a bit, which is annoying for the neighbors, but that’s just how it goes here. We carry various traditional foods and household things that people need for their kitchens. It feels like a real neighborhood spot because that’s really all it is. We spend most of our day unpacking boxes or helping someone find where the specific spices are kept this week. Some days are quieter than others, especially in the heat of the afternoon. If you're walking through Supermart 1, you'll see us right there. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything is running. It's just about having the right things on the shelf when someone needs them for dinner.
