Ajay Tea Stall

Our small tea stall is located over at DLF City Phase IV, specifically near School Site No GH 4212. It’s a bit of a dusty spot because there’s always some construction going on nearby in Gurgaon. Ajay Tea Stall is really just a simple setup with a gas stove and a few jars of snacks. We get a lot of workers from the nearby sites and sometimes parents waiting to pick up their kids. The morning rush starts around 7 AM when the air is still a bit cool. I spend most of my day stirring the pot and making sure we don't run out of ginger. The benches we have are made of wood and they’ve been repaired a couple of times already. It isn't the kind of place you'd find in a mall. It’s just a corner where you can get a hot glass of tea for a few rupees. Sometimes the wind blows the plastic covers around, and we have to weigh them down with stones. We don't have a big staff, just me and a cousin who helps out when it gets really busy. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. We know most of the regulars by their voices before we even look up from the stove. It is just a basic part of the neighborhood for everyone around.
