Sun Sweets Restaurant

Sun Sweets Restaurant is right across from the main bus stand in Gurgaon, near Fawara Chowk. If you’ve been to this part of town, you know it’s always crowded. Buses coming in, people rushing to catch a ride, and rickshaws everywhere. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. People know us for our sweets, but we also do regular food throughout the day. In the mornings, we have people stopping by for a quick breakfast before they head to work. The floor is made of old stone and it gets worn down from all the feet walking in and out. We have glass cases filled with different mithai. We make everything in the back. It’s a lot of work, especially during festival seasons when everyone wants boxes of sweets to take home. The air always smells like fried sugar and ghee. It's a bit cramped inside when it’s busy, and the noise from the bus stand never really stops. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a website. We just open the shutters early and start cooking. Most of our customers are travelers or local shopkeepers from the market. They want something quick and honest. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. It’s just a restaurant where you can get a hot meal or a piece of barfi while you wait for your bus. We've been serving the same way for years and don't plan on changing much. It is what it is.
