Lockup Restaurant

Our restaurant is on the ground floor of the Vyapar Kendra Market in Sushant Lok Phase 1. It is a busy market in Gurgaon where there is always someone walking by or looking for a quick bite. The space inside is number 136, and it’s not particularly large. We have the kitchen in the back and a few rows of tables for people to sit at. The 122002 area is full of offices and apartments, so we see a lot of the same faces every day. We spend the morning prepping ingredients and getting the stoves ready. The floor is made of hard tiles that we mop several times a day because of the foot traffic. It gets noisy when the lunch hour hits and everyone starts talking at once. We don't use any fancy language on our menus; it is just straightforward food that people know. Sometimes the market gets very crowded and it’s hard to even find a parking spot outside. We just stay inside and keep the orders going. The walls have a few simple decorations but nothing too elaborate. We are just a local business trying to keep up with the pace of Gurgaon. There is no corporate office or big management team here. It is just us in the kitchen and at the counter, making sure the food is ready when people come in through the door. It gets hot when the ovens are on all day, so we keep the fans going.
