Kathi Junction

We are down at shop number 23 in Vyapar Kendra. Sushant Lok Phase 1 is a busy part of Gurgaon, and this market is always full of people looking for something to eat. Kathi Junction isn't a huge place, just a simple spot on the ground floor. We spend our shift standing behind the counter, rolling up wraps and keeping an eye on the stove. The heat from the kitchen can get pretty intense, especially in the summer months. We get a lot of office workers coming in during their lunch break. They are usually in a hurry. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long. The floor gets dirty quickly with everyone walking in, so we are always grabbing the mop. The market outside is loud, with people shouting and cars trying to park. We know the other shop owners around here, and sometimes we grab a chai together when things are slow. It’s a routine. We prep the onions and the sauces every morning before we open the shutters. The sign outside has some dust on it, but we haven't got around to cleaning it this week. It’s just a honest place to get some food while you are out in the city. We don't have much room for sitting, so most people just stand or take their stuff to go.
