Our workshop for Forklift India Private Limited is located at the 41 Mile Stone on N.H.-8 in Narsingpur. We are situated just before you hit the old Carrier Aircon building. Since we are right on the highway, it’s a very noisy and dusty place to be. We spend our days around heavy machinery. Forklifts are big, greasy, and need a lot of looking after. We have a yard where we keep the units, and a covered area where we do the repairs. It’s not a place for clean clothes. There is oil on the ground and the smell of diesel in the air most of the time. We handle everything from basic maintenance to fixing engines that have completely given up. It’s just a group of us who know our way around a wrench. The traffic on NH-8 never seems to stop, so there’s a constant roar of trucks passing by. Sometimes we have to go out to a customer's site if their machine breaks down, but mostly we are here at the 41 Mile Stone. We don't have a big fancy office, just a small cabin with a desk where we keep the service records. It’s hard work and the sun beats down on the yard in the summer, but it’s what we do. We just keep the machines moving so the warehouses can keep working.
