Kalindee Rail Nirman (engineers) Ltd. is located over in DLF Cyber City, specifically on the 2nd Floor of Building No. 9 - A. It’s a very different world inside that complex compared to the actual railway sites where the real work happens. Most of the time, this office is where the engineers and managers sit to handle the logistics of building rail tracks and infrastructure. It’s a lot of phone calls, heavy binders full of regulations, and maps spread out over big tables. Even though Cyber City is all glass and steel, we still feel like builders at heart. We’ve got people coming in from different sites, usually looking a bit tired from traveling long distances. The office has that hum of computers and air conditioning going all day long. We don’t really do marketing or try to look cool. We just focus on the projects we have in hand, which are usually big and take a long time to finish. It’s serious work because if you mess up a railway line, it’s a big problem for everyone. We take our lunches in the common areas or just eat at our desks when things get really busy. It’s a professional spot but without the corporate ego you might expect from such a fancy address. We are just a bunch of engineers trying to keep the trains running on time across the country from our desks here.
