Chaupal

Chaupal is located on Old Delhi Road in Gurgaon. We are quite close to the Jawala Mill and right near the wine shop. It’s a busy spot with lots of trucks and cars passing by all the time. The dust from the road is a bit of a problem, so we are always wiping down the tables. It’s not a place where you would wear your best clothes. It’s more for a quick meal when you are on the move. We have been in the 122001 area for a while now. The staff knows most of the regular drivers who stop here. We don't have a fancy menu card. Most people just ask what is ready. The kitchen is right there so you can hear the pans hitting the stove. We use big pots because we cook in large batches. Sometimes the tea is a bit too sweet, but people seem to like it that way. We don't have a lot of parking space, so people just pull up on the side of the road. It’s a bit chaotic during the evening rush. We don't do any marketing or online stuff. If you see the sign near the mill, you've found us. We just focus on getting the food on the plate and making sure the water is cold. It's a rough and ready kind of place for anyone who needs it. The fans are always on full blast because the afternoon heat is no joke on this road.
