Bhardwaj Road Carrier

Uttam Nagar is always crowded, especially near the government college. Our place is in Vishwas Park on Street Number 3. It’s a small office where we manage the trucks. Being on Matiala Road means there is a lot of dust and noise from the passing traffic. We move goods for people, mostly big loads that need a proper truck. I spend my day calling drivers to see where they are on the road. Sometimes they get stuck at the border or have a breakdown. That’s when the stress starts. The office has a desk that’s seen better days and a few chairs for the drivers to sit on while they wait for their papers. We have some tea, talk about the routes, and check the fuel prices. It’s not an easy job. The roads can be bad and the weather is either too hot or too wet. We’ve been at this spot Rz/243 for a while. People from the neighborhood know us. We don’t use any special software, just a notebook and some pens to keep track of everything. Sometimes the government college students walk past and it reminds me how long I've been working here. We just try to get the goods delivered on time. It’s just regular work, nothing more, nothing less. We keep the engines running and hope for no traffic jams.
