If you ever walk down Kasmir Rd you will probably hear us before you see us. Kamla Foundry And Workshop has been around this spot for a long time now. It is a hot place to work especially in the summer but that is just the nature of a foundry. We deal with a lot of heavy metal and casting every day. The floor is always covered in a bit of dust no matter how much we sweep it. It is just how it is. My uncle used to run the place and he taught us that things do not have to look pretty to work right. We have got some old machines that still run better than the new ones people try to sell us. We do not have a big marketing team or anyone sitting in a suit. Mostly it is just me and the crew in our work clothes. We spend our days fixing things or making new parts for people who stop by the workshop. The shop is like our second home. Kasmir Rd is busy and sometimes the traffic makes it hard to get trucks in and out but we manage. We do not make a big fuss about what we do. It is just honest work with our hands. If a customer comes in they usually just talk to me directly. There is no front desk. We just write things down and get to work.
