S S Tent House

We run S S Tent House out of Sahibabad in the Shahid Nagar area. It is basically a lot of hard work involving poles, ropes, and big sheets of waterproof cloth. We spend most of our time loading and unloading trucks or trying to figure out how to fit a large tent into a space that is clearly too small. Shahid Nagar is a crowded spot, so moving things around takes a lot of patience and shouting. We have a lot of chairs that we have to keep stacking and unstacking every few days. When it rains, everything gets heavy and messy, and we have to spend hours drying things out so they don't smell. It is not a glamorous job at all. I started this because there was always a need for stuff during local festivals and small family gatherings. My workers and I are usually covered in dust by noon. We don't really have a big staff, just a few reliable guys who know how to tie a knot that won't slip. People usually walk in or call us when they have a function coming up. I try to keep my notebook organized but sometimes things get a bit jumbled when multiple weddings are happening on the same date. We just do our work and go home tired. That is the reality of running a tent business in a place like this.
