R.K. Handloom Export

We are tucked away in 372-C at the Regent Apartments in Shipra Sun City. It isn’t a huge place, just a workspace where we manage the handloom stuff. If you walked in today, you’d probably see piles of fabric on the chairs and someone arguing over a shipping label. It’s Indirapuram, so the noise from the street is always there in the background, but we don’t really notice it anymore. We started R.K. Handloom Export because we knew the weavers and had some space to store the goods. Most of our days are spent checking the quality of the weaves and making sure the colors aren't running. It’s a lot of looking at threads and making calls to the logistics guys who are usually late. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity; we’re just a few people trying to make a living by getting these textiles out to whoever needs them. Some days are slow and we just sit around drinking chai, but then a big order comes and everything gets a bit frantic. We’ve been at this address for a while now and the neighbors know us by the stacks of boxes in the hallway. It’s not always pretty or organized, but the work gets done and the fabric is good. That is pretty much the whole story of how things go here. We just stay busy and keep the exports moving.
