Citilites

Our place, Citilites, is in a duplex building over at 8-H.I.G. Chander Nagar. Having the two floors is helpful because we can keep the messy stuff downstairs and the paperwork upstairs, though it usually ends up getting mixed together anyway by the end of the week. There are lights and fixtures all over the place, some hanging and some just sitting in boxes on the floor. You have to be careful where you walk so you don't trip over a cord or step on something important. The stairs are narrow, so moving things up and down is a bit of a chore for us. Chander Nagar is a decent area, and we get a fair amount of people just dropping in because they saw our name on the building. We don't have a professional decorator for the space; we just put things where there is an empty spot. The windows are usually open to let some air in, which means we get a bit of noise from the street outside. We spend a lot of time testing things and making sure everything is working like it should before it leaves the building. It’s a lot of manual work and checking small details. The kitchen area in the duplex is where we take our breaks and have our lunch most days. It’s a very casual environment, and we don't worry too much about appearances. As long as the work gets done and we can find what we need, it’s a good day for us.
