Kaka Caterers & Tent Decorators is based right on G.T Road. It’s a major road, so there’s always a lot of noise and trucks passing by our place at all hours. We’ve been operating from here for quite a while now. Our work involves a lot of heavy physical labor. We have to load up heavy tents, long poles, and big cooking pots into the trucks almost every single day. It’s not a glamorous job. We spend a lot of time out in the sun or the rain setting things up for weddings and local parties in the area. The kitchen side of things is always busy too, with a lot of chopping, cleaning, and cooking going on. We aren't interested in being fancy or using complicated recipes that nobody understands. We just make food that people like to eat and put up sturdy tents that won't fall down. It’s a family-run kind of business. You’ll usually see us in our work clothes, covered in a bit of dust or grease from moving the gear around. We don't have a big office with air conditioning; we just have our workspace and the storage area for the equipment. Most people find us because they saw our tents at another event or heard about us from a neighbor. We just work hard and try to be fair with everyone who comes to us. It’s a lot of long hours and late nights, but that’s the life.
