Gauri

Gauri is located out on Nh-24 in Ghaziabad, right near the Indian petrol pump in Managua puram. Being on the highway means we see a lot of people who are just passing through on their way to somewhere else. It is a dusty spot because of all the trucks and cars zooming by all day and night. We have a small building here where people can stop and take a break. My family started this because there were not many places to get a decent rest near this stretch of the road. We have some basic rooms if someone is too tired to keep driving. The rooms are not fancy, they just have the essentials like a bed and a bathroom. We also have a small area where people can sit and have some tea or a quick snack. The 201010 area is growing fast, but out here on the highway, it still feels a bit open. I spend a lot of time outside talking to the drivers or helping them find their way. The Indian petrol pump is the best way to know you are close to us. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in. It is just part of living and working on the edge of the city. We are here every day, from early morning until very late at night when the traffic finally slows down a bit.
