You can find us in Khoda Colony, specifically on the 33 Futa Road near Shani Bazar in Makanpur. It’s a crowded area, so moving our equipment around can be a bit of a struggle sometimes. We have to navigate the narrow streets with our carts full of poles and folded tents. The shop is full of stacked chairs and rolls of colorful fabric. Most of our work is for the families living nearby who are having a birthday or a small wedding. We don't have a big corporate setup. It is just us and a few workers who know how to put up the structures quickly. Shani Bazar is always busy, so there is a lot of noise and people around us while we work. We have been here for years and we know the layout of most of the local plots. Sometimes we have to squeeze a tent into a very small space. We just do our best to make it fit. It’s a lot of lifting and tying knots. We start our day early to beat the heat, and often we are still out there taking things down late at night. It is just a simple business based on hard work and knowing our neighbors. We keep our gear in the back and wait for the next person to stop by and ask for a price. It is just part of the local life here.
